Paul Adelstein is an American actor and author.
He is most recognized for his performances as Cooper Freedman in the television series Private Practice and Paul Kellerman on the series Prison Break.
Adelstein got his start in the performing arts industry by working with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company. In 1990, he made his film debut in The Grifters.
He played Mike in the TV show Cupid from 1998 to 1999, and he played Cliff in the series Turks in 1999. In the 2003 television series Hack, Adelstein played the role of Aldo Rossi.
He played Paul Kellerman in the TV series Prison Break from 2005 to 2009.
From 2007 until 2013, Adelstein played Dr. Cooper Freedman in the television series Private Practice. From 2013 to 2014, he played Leo Bergin on the TV show Scandal.
Since 2014, he has played Jake on the show Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce.
The films Bedazzled, Intolerable Cruelty, Collateral, Memoirs of a Geisha, Be Cool, The Missing Person, and Return to Zero also featured him as a leading actor. ER, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Without a Trace, Las Vegas, Medium, Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, and Private Practice are a few other TV shows in which Adelstein has made guest appearances.
