Patrick Ewing is a Jamaican-American basketball coach and former basketball player.
For the majority of his playing time, Patrick Ewing started at center for the New York Knicks.
He also participated in the men's basketball Olympic teams that captured gold medals in 1984 and 1992, and he finished his playing days in the early 2000s with the Seattle SuperSonics and Orlando Magic.
Ewing played college basketball for Georgetown and later rose to the position of head coach there.

He took up the role of head coach at Georgetown University in 2017. He took over for John Thompson III, whose father, John Thompson II, coached Patrick when he was a college student.
