Michelle Yeoh is a Malaysian actress best recognized for her appearances in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) and Ang Lee's Academy Award-winning martial arts flick Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in the 1990s Hong Kong action movie (2000). In her early Hong Kong films, Yeoh was known as Michelle Khan.
At the age of 20, Yeoh won the Miss Malaysia pageant in 1983.
She rose to prominence in the early 1990s after starring in a series of Hong Kong action films, including Yes, Madam (1985), Police Story 3: Supercop (1992), and Holy Weapon (1993), in which she performed her own stunts (1993).
