Meryl Davis is an American figure skater.
Her main source of income is a professional career as a ice dancer which brings her great profits.
At age five, she learned to skate on a nearby lake. She started out solo skating before switching to ice dancing at the age of eight.
She and Charlie White started performing together in 1998 after being paired up by her coach Seth Chafetz.
They have been around the longest of any dancing group in the country.
The ice skating couple is also the first American team to win the World Championship title (they've done it twice), and they were also the first Americans to win the gold medal in ice dancing at the Olympics.
Together, they took part in a number of Olympic Games, most recently taking home the gold medal in the ice dance division in Sochi in 2014.
They hold the current world records for the short dance, free dance, and overall combined score. They are also the first ice dance team to win the Grand Prix Final four times.
Even though many people think they are a couple when they are not on the ice, their relationship is completely business.
Meryl Davis demonstrated her great dancing abilities in addition to her ice skating abilities by winning the 18th season of Dancing with the Stars with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
