Kelly Mcgillis is an actress from the United States. Kelly McGillis is best recognized for her roles in "Witness," "Top Gun," "The House on Carroll Street," and "The Accused," among others.
She went on to star in several horror films, including "The Innkeepers" and "We Are What We Are."
McGillis has also appeared in numerous theater productions, including "Don Juan," "Twelfth Night," "Hedda Gabler," and "The Graduate."
Kelly's major break came when she was cast as Rachel Lapp in "Witness" in 1985.
She plays an Amish mother of a young son (played by a young Lukas Haas) who witnesses a murder in the film. For the part, she was nominated for a Golden Globe.
McGillis then went on to star in Tony Scott's "Top Gun," which became one of the most popular films of the 1980s (also starring Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer).
Her next major part was in the 1988 film "The Accused," followed by "Cat Chaser."
